Booking a contractor should feel like booking anything else
You can book a dentist, a haircut or a table in thirty seconds. Getting someone out to quote a new roof somehow still means filling in a form and waiting to see who calls. That's the gap we set out to close.
What we do
Appointments Biz is a storefront for home improvement appointments. Homeowners browse the work they need done, pick a date and a time window that suits them, and we assign a vetted local contractor to turn up and quote it.
The visit is free and there’s no obligation to hire. If the estimate works, the homeowner hires the contractor directly. If it doesn’t, that’s the end of it.
We’re paid by the contractors in our network for the introduction. That’s how the service stays free for homeowners, and we’d rather state it plainly than leave people guessing.
What we don’t do
- We don't perform, supervise or guarantee any construction work.
- We don't sell one homeowner's details to a queue of competing companies.
- We don't invent scarcity, fake countdown timers or made-up review counts.
- We don't pressure anyone into a decision at their own kitchen table.
Our standards
What “vetted” actually means here
Licensing and insurance verified
Before a company can take an appointment through us, we check that their contractor licence and liability insurance are current and cover the category they're bidding on. We re-check as they renew.
One homeowner, one company
We assign a single contractor to each appointment. Selling one homeowner's details to five companies is good for the companies and miserable for the homeowner, so we don't do it.
Performance is monitored
We track attendance, punctuality and whether homeowners understood the estimate they were left with. Companies that stop meeting the standard stop receiving appointments.
We're not the contractor
We're a marketing and referral platform, not a construction company. Your contract is with the contractor. We say so plainly rather than burying it — see the disclaimer in the footer.

Where we’re booking today
Coverage expands market by market as we verify enough contractors to keep appointments reliable. We'd rather be honest about where we can't help yet than take a booking we can't fill.
